We collect information you provide when creating an account (name, email address) and information generated through your use of the App (portfolio holdings you enter, research queries, learning progress, subscription status). We also collect technical and usage data (device and browser information, pages visited, analytics events, and cookies as described in our Cookie Policy). We do not collect brokerage credentials or direct access to financial accounts.
The App is directed to residents of the United States, excluding the State of California, where the service is not offered, and is not intended for anyone under 18.
We use your information to provide and improve the App, process your subscription, send transactional emails (account confirmations, billing notices, renewal reminders), send educational emails such as the weekly learning digest (every educational email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can manage email preferences in your account settings), and respond to support requests. We do not sell your personal information for money.
Research queries and related public-company data are processed by third-party AI providers, currently OpenAI, to generate analysis and summaries. This processing is used solely to deliver the App's features. We do not use your data to train external AI models. If we change AI providers, we will update this section.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), encrypted storage, and role-based access controls. No system is perfectly secure; report any suspected security issue to the contact address below.
The following service providers receive personal data in the course of operating the App. Each has its own privacy policy:
When you create an account, we also send a hashed (one-way encoded) version of your email address to Reddit's conversion measurement service, and a signup event with a pseudonymous identifier to Google Analytics, to measure ad performance. Hashing prevents Reddit from reading your address directly.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days of account closure. Database backups containing your data are purged within 90 days. Aggregated, anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely. Some data may be retained beyond these periods where required by law or for legitimate compliance purposes (e.g., billing records retained for tax purposes for up to 7 years, and records of your consent to subscription terms and proof that required billing notices were sent, retained for at least 3 years as required by automatic-renewal laws).
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data regardless of where you live. We will respond to all data access, correction, or deletion requests within 30 days of receipt. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will answer the appeal within 30 days. Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws (including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Texas) have these rights by statute, along with the right to opt out of targeted advertising, which you can exercise at any time through the cookie preferences on our Cookie Policy page. To exercise any right, contact us at trailblazer@theprogressivetrailblazer.com.
Do Not Track: some browsers send “Do Not Track” signals. The App does not currently respond to DNT signals; advertising and analytics tags are instead controlled by the cookie consent banner, which defaults to off until you accept.
The App is not offered to California residents (see our Terms of Service), and we do not knowingly maintain accounts for them. If you are a California resident whose personal information we hold (for example, from visiting the marketing site or from an account created before the exclusion took effect), you have the right to know what personal information we collect, request its deletion, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information. We do not sell your personal information for money. Advertising pixels (Google, Meta, Reddit) may qualify as “sharing” under California law; they load only after you accept the cookie banner, and you can decline or withdraw that consent at any time from the Cookie Policy page. To submit a data request or exercise any of your California privacy rights, contact us at trailblazer@theprogressivetrailblazer.com. We will verify your identity before processing your request and respond within 45 days as required by CCPA.
The App is not directed to children, and you must be at least 18 to create an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at the address below.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will notify you by email or by a notice in the App before the change takes effect.
