SEC and Regulatory Filings
Form 4
An insider filing that reports many changes in insider ownership.
Also called: insider transaction filing
What it means
Form 4 is filed when certain insiders buy, sell, or otherwise change their ownership in company shares. These filings are watched closely because they reveal some insider transactions.
Why it matters
Users often track Form 4 filings to see what insiders are doing, while remembering that not every insider trade means the same thing.
